It was a busy week. Along with all the normal weekly activity, I led a Bike Disco on Wednesday. This rolling party was a fundraiser for SESSFA’s Move-a-thon. Last year, the event came together very last minute but still got about 25-30 people out on bikes. This year, with a bit more planning, we had over 100. Below is a video from Seattle Public Schools from the event. My March Mustache features prominently.
Saturday was the opening of the Crosslake Light Rail which we’ve been waiting for since we moved here about a decade ago. We met my parents and 205,000 of our closest friends to ride it on opening day. It was a massive party with lines hundreds deep to get on the trains.
Sunday morning we were back on the light rail headed to SoDo for a trapeze class at Emerald City Trapeze. Over the course of an hour, we each got to swing several times. Below is a video of me turning over to hang from my knees before turning back over and doing a back flip into the net. The one hour class went by quickly so we signed up for two more classes… Before realizing how sore we would be the next day.
Overall, it was a fun few days and we’re looking forward to the next few adventures we have planned
